Min Jeong Seo

As my team chose to look at people with tattoos, peircings and modifications as inspiration for our instillation piece, I thouht that I would look for artists that have done similar.

Here is a piece by Min Jeong Seo, she has created an instillation piece using ceramic and drawing techniques to create a beautiful piece of instillation art. Min has created ceramic arms using a cast of a ballerinas arms, and then painted on traditional japaneese style tattoos.

This piece is an old favourite of mine, I love the delicate and feminine flow of the arms that are almost given a masculine feel from the tattoos, but still retain alot of femininity. Min has taken two very contrasting topics and combined them in one piece in such a way that would work.
